About the Team

The Senior IT Business Analyst will join the Nutanix IT Application team, headquartered in San Jose, CA. This dynamic and collaborative team is committed to driving innovative solutions that enhance business operations and IT processes. The mission of the team is to serve as a vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating the effective translation of complex requirements into actionable plans that deliver impactful results.

You will report to the Sr. Director of IT Applications, who is known for a hands-on leadership style that encourages team autonomy and fosters an environment of continuous improvement. The team operates in a hybrid work setup, requiring team members to be in the office for typically two to three days a week to facilitate collaboration and engagement with colleagues and stakeholders.

There are no travel requirements for this role, allowing the Senior IT Business Analyst to focus on local initiatives and projects without the need for additional travel commitments.

 

Your Role

  • Lead discovery sessions to gather and document business requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, providing regular project health updates to ensure alignment.
  • Map current business processes and design future processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers daily to clarify requirements and assist in removing blockers.
  • Conduct functional testing and define acceptance criteria to ensure quality and completeness of deliverables.
  • Act as a de-facto Project Manager for smaller workstreams, prioritizing deliverables based on business value.
  • Identify and document any edge cases that stakeholders may overlook, ensuring comprehensive coverage in development.
  • Achieve timely completion of project milestones while maintaining high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

 

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience with a strong understanding of SDLC.
  • Proficiency in Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills for bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong functional and regression testing experience with the ability to identify logical gaps.
  • Proficient in tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, Confluence, and wireframing tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Figma, Miro).
  • Experience with GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot).
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate project alignment.

 

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $99,200 and USD $198,000 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
